We seek to understand how neural networks are established in the brain that make learning processes and memory storage possible
The EpiNeuro Team
To successfully achieve our research goal, we assembled a gender-balanced research team including five Principal Investigators (PIs), four Associate Investigators (AIs) and a Senior Investigator with expertise in i) chromatin & epigenetics, gene transcription and bioinformatics, ii) cellular and molecular (neuro)biology, iii) structural and functional synaptic plasticity (incl. electrophysiology) and iv) cognitive behavioral studies. PIs are from three different Universities and regions (RM, IV, V) of Chile: U. Andrés Bello (UNAB), U. Católica del Norte (UCN), and U. Valparaíso (UV).

Martín Montecino es postulado al Premio Nacional de Ciencias Naturales por su trayectoria y aporte al desarrollo de la biología molecular en Chile
El director alterno del Núcleo Milenio de Neuroepigenética y Plasticidad, EpiNeuro, ha desarrollado durante más de tres décadas una destacada carrera científica, contribuyendo al conocimiento de los mecanismos que regulan la expresión genética y a la formación de nuevas generaciones de investigadores.
EpiNeuro acercó la neurociencia a 1.500 estudiantes en la feria Invierno con Ciencia
Durante dos jornadas, el Núcleo Milenio de Neuroepigenética y Plasticidad, EpiNeuro, participó en esta iniciativa de divulgación científica realizada en la Biblioteca de Santiago, donde centros ANID acercan sus investigaciones y conocimientos a las comunidades escolares.
EpiNeuro acercó la neurociencia a estudiantes de cuatro colegios de la Región Metropolitana
Como parte de la difusión de “NeurociencIA: tu laboratorio virtual”, integrantes del Núcleo Milenio de Neuroepigenética y Plasticidad visitaron establecimientos educacionales de Maipú, Estación Central, Peñaflor y la Región Metropolitana para compartir sus experiencias y conocimientos sobre el estudio del cerebro.
